Wendi R. Zea is an Associate Professor in costume design at Southern Illinois University, where she teaches design, period styles, costume construction, and a variety of costume crafts classes, including dyeing, fabric modification, wigs and millinery.  She recently designed the costumes for the premiere US production of Noël the Musical, and has designed costumes for numerous professional theatres including Cortland Repertory Theatre, Porthouse Theatre, Northern Stage, and McLeod Summer Playhouse.  Her design work has been presented at the United States Institute for Theatre Technology Conference Design Expo, and she has given presentations at USITT and SETC on the benefits of using half scale dress forms as teaching aids.
