The Jungle Book

McLeod Summer Playhouse, June 2018

Though this was my fourth production of The Jungle Book, using a third script, I enjoyed adapting and updating my concept to fit the jungle-gym set, and the movement suggested by that. As the original story was set in India, sari fabrics are used and adapted into shapes that cross the line between human and animal, allowing full freedom of movement and expression while still relating the idea of the creatures to the young audience.
